Jolanta Kowalczyk

Child Psychologist, Early Intervention Specialist

Psychologist, pedagogue, early intervention specialist. She mainly deals with diagnosis and child therapy. Her goal is to develop the best possible plan to help the youngest customers, their parents and loved ones.

Experience and working methods:

For Jolanta, a diagnosis is a broad recognition of the difficulties of a young person, which is the result of more than just the tests performed. In this process, she particularly emphasizes the importance of an interview with parents, conversations, consultations with other specialists and a comprehensive analysis of the patient's entire situation. 

She works with children starting from 2-3 months of age. She has experience in consultation and support activities, both with young children and their parents. Jolanta diagnoses and monitors the psychomotor development of toddlers, causes of difficulties in functioning of preschool and school-aged children, diagnoses cognitive development, causes of deficits in social and emotional development, including ADHD and autism spectrum symptoms. She also supports parents in the upbringing process and in difficult life situations.

In her 24 years working as a psychologist, she has used her knowledge and skills in the fields of diagnostics of intellectual potential diagnosis, personality, crisis support, difficult situations and psychological care. Her motto is:

"The most effective psychological help we can receive is the one that uses our own potential. In the case of children, this means both the potential of the little person and his parents."

Education:

  • Master's degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan
  • Course in oligophrenopedagogy
  • Crisis intervention course
  • Study of diagnosis, intervention and psychological help in cases of sexual abuse of children
  • Postgraduate studies in early intervention - helping a child and family at the Academy of Special Education in Warsaw
  • Courses authorizing the use of the latest diagnostic methods
  • Mindfulness course – I and II degrees
  • Postgraduate studies in clinical sexology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (in progress)
